I've known a few discipline cases. They're infuriating and hilarious and infuriating.

Here's why that parking brake sticks

    The verdict is in boys...

I got hooked up with a Toyota tech that has 38+ years working on Toyotas. He drained all the oil and we went through it together. He said the metal shavings we found together were pretty normal. He even collected the oil from a Tundra getting a regular oil change a couple bats down and we found about the same thing. The Tundy had more but it does have two extra cylinders. The conclusion: a small amount of fine metal shavings is considered normal for our engines.

As for the bearing growl I've been hearing, it's coming from the alternator. When the AC compressor kicks in it pulls more power putting more load on the alternator. Toyota will cover an alternator replacement under the existing warranty.

347 miles to go on the warranty :D

If you need work done at the stealership, I will vouch for North Park. They have been very good to me.

Agreed, but considering his tension, he might need to do a relocate of the upper bracket. Disconnect the upper bracket @hoverlover , flex out, take a pic, then determine if its too much. The stock lower bracket is to prevent the leaf sprngs from pinching the parking brake cable when the leafs are expanded and contracting. If it's much slack with the upper bracket off, then cut the lower bracket.

Not trying to pee in your Cheerios, Chad. :fistbump:
