Good point, I have put the FOB in my pocket in church. When hiking around water, I put the FOB in a ziplock bag in my pocket.

A good accessory whether the FOB is on a lanyard or in your pocket is a FOB case. Adds some protection from dust and lint.

I just had something similar happen to me. I decided to go swimming with it in my pocket last Monday. After that I dissassembled everything and dried it out and put in a new battery and the fob works. Well only for about 24 hours and then the battery practically dies. I have gone through two batteries so far. A couple years ago mine went through the wash with the stock fob and it survived then without issue. I'm thinking my current Meso fob doesn't hold as well in water. Really crossing my fingers that I don't have to replace the expensive fob.

This is a whole other level of unclean. My neighbor leaves his windows down, even in the rain; I just don't get it.
