Ahhhhh I remember those days lol. "Oh I'll just throw a blower on and maybe a couple other little things and then I'm done!"

 

Well technically speaking if the boost pressure is under 6 psi an intercooler is unnecessary, but since we are talking Toyota here and since they like to build mostly everything overkill style they naturally added an intercooler almost as if they anticipated that boost owners were going to be upping the boost and they wanted to make sure that we were already configured to handle that.

I know right. Look what we done did now.

Speaking of 87 mods later.. is anyone down for a supercharger drive cogged pulley conversion kit?

depends. is it expensive? probably yes. will I have more boost commanding massive engine internal upgrades? definitely.

 

Yup for sure, see heat pouring out of it. I’ve been looking at adding lovers for a while too. As someone else mentioned there needs to be a place for the heat to escape.

Oh...and btw the #1 heat trap on my truck is the damn skids, trans gets zero air flow with full three piece skids on.

 

fan driven cooling ducts. I've been looking at louvers as well. roush makes some. I want carbon fiber but they cost what a glass cowl hood does. yikes, 400 bucksfor two vents?!? but that would look sweet!

I gotcha beat, I'm already replacing mods with the same mods because those original 84 mods are failing

Are you on running a 6 speed or Auto? How do you like the 4.10s and 285s? Looking at the calc it looks like rpms will be a touch lower than stock, which is what I want

 

auto. 285s and 410s are great for my needs. I think it's a very mild change yet just what I wanted. having a trutrac now seals the deal.
