HP Tuners for 2005-2015

Just to join in on the moto fun, this is my boo. We go all the places a bike this size shouldn’t go haha slightly different flavor than yalls.

 

Sweet. It looks like we all have more in common then we know.

I had to slow down with the riding, it tends to get me in trouble.

 

The truck is fun cause the wife and pup get to join the adventure, but motos are my true love. Cool bikes, fellas!!

 

So my next question is, since the Toyota flashing routine is the least robust of all the manufacturers (and more so with the 2nd Gen ECU it seems), what is it going to take for @HPTuners to incorporate brick protection into their software? I imagine this is a big concern here for those looking to buy and for those that already have the MPVI2. I'm sure people would be willing to pay a bit more for this vs trying to source another ECU and whatnot.

Last bike I have. 530 exc sumo. There were others. All great. This one was my fave. Pic taken at @socalsupermoto school a few years back. Inner ear tumor fucked my balance up pretty good. Broke my heart to give up riding.

It helps. I still like to go fast around corners tho. There are better tools for that.

 

I tore my shoulder labram racing my yz as well. Gave up racing for the trails more

 

I loved my bikes. can't ride anymore. too many injuries too often.

 

The only risk is when writing to the ECU, datalogging of any kind poses no harm as you are only reading what the ecu is spitting out.

Oh dude, you are fine datalogging via vcm scanner, its no different than an ultra guage, or ELM327 bluetooth OBD thingy and an app on your phone, simply grabbing data that the ecu is sending to the OBD port. No changing, flashing, erasing, of the ecu is occurring during that.

I think with mine, @S.B. and @mightytacoman 's ecu bricking debug.bat's HPTuners has implemented some safeguards with the beta as of 8/12/19 to help mitigate problems.
