Why is the curve so jagged? Motor switching from atkinson to otto? It ramps up and then falls on its face losing 100 lb pounds around 3300 and then ramps back up.

 

Mat has mentioned it a number of times, but our trucks do something really weird with the throttle under 3500rpm making it impossible to get an accurate dyno pull on the low end. There’s more too it than that but that’s the gist of it.

 

I'm assuming he can't tune that out...?

He needs a MT to dyno pull then.

 

I think the issue might be that the stock tune can’t be full throttle below 3500; that’s part of the TNM... Toyota Neuter Mod.

Or perhaps I’m just assuming and am way out in left field.

2nd grader started today! yeah i remember end of Aug, or beginning of Sept when i was in grade school.

 

First grade for our son starts on the 26th. It's different everywhere haha
