If I choose not to use a relay, how is the yellow wire connected to the Switch Pro?

Yellow wire to positive of the rock lights. Mine is connected right at the terminal block.

And if you do manage to pop the switch... it may be repairable just a hassle....

I managed to blow the trace right off the PCB when wiring the ditch lights. And being stubborn.. well it was already broke. So why not tear it apart and see...

    IMG_20190220_182921_138.jpg

    Yep.. burnt the switch up....

    Ahhh but.....

A little bit of wire and some soldering .... back to working again.

    Daniel,

Does this work on a 5th gen runner? Getting my MESO puddle lights next week and want all on when I disarm or open doors.

    Thanks!

Sorry for the late response, been off the grid all weekend. Camping trip.

Finalizing 4 runner version now. Confirmed it will work but I have to change some pins around in the tharness. Pm me, I could use a second tester for it.

Then I'm finishing second Gen compatibility.

Got mine all installed today! I used it for basic footwell lighting rather than rock lights, but your module made it super easy, writeup here. Thanks for the awesome product!

    ~~Public Service Announcement~~

I updated the wiring diagrams for V4 on second post. Please use these diagrams when installing.

One thing I wanted to point out that I came across this past weekend while camping. As I have mentioned before a couple times I personally am not using a relay for the lights. But I will be changing my setup to the recommended setup in the diagrams shortly. My rock lights draw at about 3.5 amps and when on for extended periods of time (I often leave them on most of the night while camping), I noticed the module was putting out quite a bit of heat. So for the folks that are hooking the output directly to your lights I strongly recommend switching to match the wiring diagrams. The correct installation should be a double relay setup (My DomeRock V4 <Signal Relay> controlling a Lights Relay <Power Relay>).

Just wanted to make sure this is out there and encourage you all to follow the diagrams accordingly (myself included). Any questions please let me know.

I was going to run mine on switched power...think it's better to wire them into a constant circuit?
