A quest for you intrepid fellows: the bolts that hold in the bed cubbies are M6 bolts. But they are neither 1.0 or .75 (fine) thread. What thread are they?

 

1.25, 1.5, or probably 1.75

 

Take one out and bring it into Lowe's. They have a thread board on the wall. You can test it.

 

I've got 85K on my 16. Original pads, and they still are good... How did you manage to wear yours down in 30K?

 

That's the question right there.

 

Gotta blow up your spot boss, but you and I know most of those miles are highway miles back and forth to Ohio. How the hell do you need new pads already?!

 

Maybe you guys are right, not sure. Apparently I am on 1/5th of the original, and I can hear them squeal whenever I brake.

 

Then they need replaced, but that doesn't answer the initial question: Are you driving like a bat out of hell or riding your brakes unnecessarily?

My last service at Toyota, they said i was at a 5/10. The service before that, they said I was a 3/10. Brake pads don’t grow, so I’m not sure what to believe, but theyve been squeaking so I think they are close to being done

 

Take a tire off and look. You don’t need to take apart your brakes to see how much pad you have left. All you have to do is take a tire off and look at the back of the caliper and you can see the pads and how thick they are.

 

This and the stealership is always trying to say that crap to get yo monies! Check em and replace yourself with OEM. Also might wanna change driving habits to increase wear.
