yah that was the original plan, hence a bit of a mod spree. Save some time and install while I am pulling and replacing parts anyway.

 

you will have to drain the coolant again to do the supercharger, so might as well wait.

Is there a part number for it?

 

It would be cool I agree, part of that was a joke, the other part of it makes it semi not feasible because the width of the belt needs to be wider in length and due to space constraints would not work unless we ran a redesigned thermostat housing with a snaked 45* degree downward curve, similar to how the Hilux has theirs.

 

Won't the Hilux one fit?

For some reason they are next to impossible to get and on top of that there may be multiple versions of the housing which sort of complicates it a little more. The end summary to it all is that it is more trouble to try to get a 6 rib design belt let alone attempt to do a fully cogged conversion than it is worth. We are better off slapping on a non stretch Gates RPM series belt and calling it a day.

 

Even if @Murphinator bought the last one ever in the US, there is a company making aftermarket versions of the vinyl floor equal to in OE quality. This would actually be a great mod for further sound deadening.

 

Would you be willing to pull one of those plastic floor mat holders off and see if you could find a part number on the bottom side? I have been trying to track this down for months. Would like to add it to the thread with the part numbers for the flooring as well

Can anyone with a 2.3 confirm if this is the right belt? I was going off of the pg one part numbers K060690RPM but im not sure if it has to have "RPM" on the end

Edit: heres the RPM belt. Big price difference but the specs all look the same? can anyone provide some insight on this? one looks like aramid cord while the other is polyester

Those will work, however, they are a little different that the ones @oni06 has. Those were designed to be used with carpet i believe.. I'd really like to update the OP in the vinyl flooring thread if i can find the # on the ones pictured above. I have the

08210-00820 in my truck, and the floor mats get pulled back about an inch, and the clips themselves try to come out every week or so..

 

RPM will just be the same spec belt but in the Gates Racing variety.

 

Think the racing variety is worth the extra 35 bucks? My gut tells me yes..

 

Use the RPM belts whenever possible. Unless you plan on changing pulley size in a week. The RPM belts have no dust and don’t stretch.
