Last thought on Video games being useful. Have you seen what modern warfighters are being trained on? Xbox controllers are being incorporated to systems for operators. Drown pilots set at a computer and interact with a UI that is purposely designed to look like a video game that is familiar to many. So I would say that playing games can help later in life.

Okay back to trucks for a minute, please. any of you guys had experience with the Maxtrack Lift spindles? I'm looking at going this route after talking to the folks at Headstrong off road yesterday. I've done Coil and Strut swaps before, but never Spindles. @Jerneyman are you down for this?

Lol. Wrong guy. But yeah, swapping out spindles won't be hard. I'd say replacing a coil and strut would be easier but I think its really just preference.

 

Well with the spindle, I don't have to do the UCAs to go over 2.5" of lift. Atleast according to Headstrong and some others on the forums. One of the few advantages of 2WD.

 

If you're just wanting lift, the spindles are a good option for sure. If you want more load capacity on the front end for a winch and bumper, I'd want to upgrade my coils to a higher spring rate which would require a new strut as well. Of course, you can always add that later after the spindle lift is installed and have both.

 

It made me feel dirty doing it.

But the world now is electronics. Video games teach kids soooooo many things. I have raised a few kids and having a kid most defiantly changes your entire world no doubt.
Both of my sons played video games, I made sure they had the best I could afford for them. We modded video consoles so we could play Nintendo games on a Xbox, lol. Both my sons have college degrees, their own home, cars and jobs. They are both great kids and still play video games and they are both in their 30's. My oldest son made and trouble shoots the software that manages the billing of most of your TV services. I helped raise another child that is 10 years old right now that I make sure he has a computer, Xbox, Switch, Play Station and a Tablet he carries everywhere. I started him on video games as soon as he could hold a controller. Because I did this he is so much ahead of most of the kids he attends school with, he is helping teach his classmates on how to use electronics. His teacher said he helps her with things, lol.

If you are using electronics as a baby sitter then I personally think that is wrong but if you use them as a teaching tool hell yeah do it. Be a part of what your kids are doing, there is good and bad in most everything.

Wise words from one of our elders in the thread. Its all in how you utilize what you are using. Fire is a good simple example. Burning down forest or just being a pyro = bad. Cooking food, using as a heat source = good.
