Im In the middle of vinyl wrapping my 2018.
Thought i could wrap the front of my mirrors while they are mounted, but it didnt work.
I want to remove the painted front cover of the side mirrors. That way I can wrap around to the inside..anyone know how these come off? Too scared to pry the mirror....

Tie off a plastic bag around the mirror so when/if you lose grip they won’t fly off onto the driveway

Just went to gently pull the raised edge and immediately heard a snap followed by a rattle. The clip in the middle broke off and is now just a post, and the trim piece is not sitting snug on the far end.

Is there a replacement trim piece for cement grey I can order, or am I screwed?

Grab the outer corner and pull. Once you do just keep pulling from the middle. Do not throw on the ground like that video. It's actually easier than it looks and you just need to have a good grip on it so it doesn't go flying.

Do you need replace the cover or the black cross member it clips into. If you are talking about the cover there is a color coded replacement. Just make sure you order the one with the turn signal (presuming you have them).
    Here is an example

https://parts.toyotaoffortworth.com/p/Toyota__Tacoma/Door-Mirror-Cover/67942085/8794504070B2.html okay this is what i'm ordering. Cement grey, left mirror cover, with signal. Thanks a ton. I had a tough time finding the part individually. Your link helped find the way.

Glad to help. I backed my passenger side mirror into the side of the garage, had to replace the whole assembly. Bought an aftermarket mirror with black cover and bought the Toyota color match cover- fit perfectly.
