Hey gents, long time lurker never really a post thread kind of guy but this has been bothering me and seeing if anyone else has similar issues with their brand new paint on their 3rd gens, I've known of some paint related issues on 3rd gens and I have seen first hand some nasty stuff on tundras, especially on white trucks, So I am not really surprised at all. Purchased late June 2019 TRD OR, tech, Super White 4x4. After my 2nd gen was totaled in a rear end collusion and have been in love with it ever since, It does feel like a hog going uphill's but it doesn't bother me much. Will eventually re gear. After mods. It did come with that zaktek bs paint protection from dealership that should be applied every 6 months, I went back and forward with sales manager to throw it out on the deal and wouldn't budge but got the rest of the bs dealer stuff removed from bill. Anyways just taking opinions on what I should do or any suggestions as we do pay a pretty penny for these 3rd gens and I am kinda of OCD about little shit, Keep in mind I am in Arizona and there is a lot of constructions going on right now especially on all our major highways, I try my best to stay away from any gravel trucks/dump trucks but sometimes you cant help it.

Anyways what do you guys think? This is obviously on hood of truck near grille area.

Obligatory pic of truck at the end.

No problem the chips will come even if you do not off road. I had just got my color chip and tried on the rear flare that gets road rash just above the clear coat paper protection. Worked real good. You will never go back to those little paint pens.

And if you get a scratch on those wheels and it starts to bother you I can take them off your hands lol.

Rock chips; talk to your dealer, they have a guy. This is what I did on another vehicle, and said guy, was paid cash, and his work was top notch, should have kept his card.

Wrap the high impact areas with Xpel or sun Tek ppf. Hood/rocker panels and wheel wells would be a good start.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Give more distance between yourself and ANY vehicles on the road. Cars throw up just as many stones as trucks, especially when the drivers are self-engrossed in their phones and they drive out of their lane into the shoulder etc. where the rocks are plentiful.
