I currently have a Kawasaki Concours. I've been thinking about a cruiser myself (it'd be good for me to slow down a bit :)). It'd definitely be a change from a Ninja to a Harley. If you've never ridden a cruiser, you can always try renting a Harley for a day or two to make sure you like it before you pull the trigger. I'm kind of fond of the Street Bob.

My very first bike was a lil rebel... cutest damn thing.... lol But I fell head over hills for my Kawasaki when I saw it. It was my third bike. Second bike was a GSX-R 600...well besides dirt bikes and quads...Not sure if the Harley is my next step yet, I have heard they are a ruff ride.

That was my first problem with getting a Harley. The second is my room mate's 06 Harley that is in my garage. He loves the that thing way too much, but he spends most of his time at the house working on it.

My Jetta is my project vehicle (as it well should be with over 230,000 miles). When I get another bike, I want to ride the hell out of it without working on it constantly. My old Nighthawk 750 was that way - minimal maintenance and always reliable (till my friend laid it over).

Gotta agree, I loved the Nighthawk line, my first new bike was a '83 450! I drove that everywhere & put on many, many trouble-free miles.

Thought the Honda Sabre's were pretty sweet too. Oh and the ol' Kawaski KZ's.

To the OP, sorry to hear you sold your old friend but it sounds like you gotta a plan, have fun shopping.

I ride the bike as much as the truck. I have 40k on a 07 Goldwing that is not quite 2 years old yet. I refuse to sell one bike before I have obtained the replacement. I would hate to be without one.

I couldn't imagine not having a bike. I did almost sell this a month or so ago, had a nice offer but ended up declining it. She's my baby.

The Road Kings ride pretty well. There is a lot of shaking when they're sitting still but they smooth out nicely once you get going. Surprisingly, they're one of the better performing Harley's in the corners.
