Looks good man. What did you re-apply with? I'm sooo back and forth about putting them back on if i debadge. I've been thinking of removing TRD sticker and re-applying black plasti-dipped badges but I just don't effing know.

Thanks, man. I used the red 3M double sided automotive tape. I found some in my toolbox in my basement. I was debating on spraying them matte black and tossing the TRD Pro or Bro badges on it. 4 coats of the Satin Paprika did the trick.

The urge to mod continues... yesterday my all black matte finish TRD pro grill from The Taco Garage out in CA was delivered and I couldn’t wait to see how it looked.

The fit and finish came out great, but I don’t really have anything to compare it to. All the clips seem like they will hold up. I just wish there was a way to make it so that I could of used some of the OEM screws to better secure it.

It took about 2 wks after I ordered it to get here and boy was I anxious. Super excited about it, thanks AJ!

What does everyone think of the all black lettering?

    Build is slowing coming together...

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Since there has been much talk of painting logos, thought I'd show you guys a pic of the red anodizing paint (over chrome) I mentioned a while back...

    upload_2019-8-14_12-52-59.jpg

It would look a LOT better if I were any kind of a photographer. I just could not find a way to light this thing. Suffice it to say it's really spiffy in person. The paint was easy to work with, too. I just gave it a couple of waaay too heavy coats. It first pooled at the bottom, then evened itself out. One problem is that the selection of colors is pretty limited.

    • I laser washed with the undercarriage wash everytime there was a thaw. No rust! Once a year each spring I'd put on a Doughboy suit and goggles fill a garden sprayer with Twin Etch or a similar product and spray. Kills the rust, turns it black, works like a charm. My '11 was rust free for the 6 years I drove it. I'd still be driving it today if I hadn't been t-boned.

When I read about all of the antics you snow country guys go through to keep rust off your vehicles it makes me appreciated Texas all the more. No salt here. Hotter than crap in summer, but I like the heat as long as my AC works. Lived in Illinois and NJ up until 1985 and have a faint memory of this crap.

It's plenty warm up here in August. Spending vacation watching boats go through the Trent-Severn Waterway Lock System in Northern Ontario.
