Hey guys, Ill be coming up from Maryland around early September for a family trip. We're renting a place in Bar Harbor, but I plan on staying an extra couple of days or a week after to do some camping/light off-roading. Any suggestions on what to check out?

Also, feel free to recommend me anything to see on the way home to Maryland. I already have MT. Washington Auto Road and maybe Treehouse Brewery on the list

Nice time of year to visit! What are your interests? Boating? Hiking? Tourist stuff? Just on Mt. Desert Island or in the surrounding area? On the less expensive side or no expense spared? Etc.

They're not off-roading related, but I'd highly recommend hitting Jasper Beach if you feel like a drive. It's in Machias, so it's a bit of a haul, but very neat.

Less of a drive is Schoodic Point. It's still about an hour from Bah Hahbah, but has some nice scenery.

Mainly on a search for beer, good food, and anything nature related. I'm willing to get away from the Mt. Desert area and cheaper the better.
