    You will never do the belt just once. Lol.

    I will say however, that going the RPM racing series should minimie the frequency of belt changes and minimize if not eliminate any sort of slippage entirely. Your overall boost numbers may drop due to lack of slippage which is not a bad thing.. so be aware of that.

    Lol that i know all too well. My last belt was put on about 2500 miles ago and it already looks tired. The skid and fan clutch on my truck makes changing the belt a pain, so i would like something that will last a bit longer and stand up to the abuse

    Appreciate you chiming in man! i went ahead and paid the extra $ for the RPM version. Not in stock at rockauto but hopefully it gets here around the same time as the 2.3.

    Im getting one made by Nate @ smoothflow. Not sure what everyone else with the 2.3 is running. Maybe @12TRDTacoma @Speedwaytacotuesday @TodayWasTHeDaY could chime in? These are the only folks im aware of running a 2.3

    +1 for Nate @ Smoothflow. I'm "only" running a 2.5, but all my pulleys came from Nate. Excellent workmanship, fair price, quick service - highly recommended.

    Meanwhile I’m really looking into getting another exhaust made to see if the car likes smaller pipes. Get a pair of cheapo spintechs and an x pipe, and proceed to waste money.

    Agreed, ive done the same. Bought a 2.7, 2.6, 2.5 and now im jumping to 2.3. He has always had great service and the finished product never disappoints. Would highly recommend him to anyone on here.

    They all come bare aluminum. I've never bothered painting mine and haven't had a single issue

    Just remember guys that you'll have to shave down the snout (or chop it off like Athlaos) by hand to fit the 2.3. The c-clip that holds a bearing dust shield will have one metric c-hairs worth of meat holding it in place by the time you're finished.

    Yeah just about every belt out there falls apart one way or another with our supercharger. Part of me thinks it has to do with the inherent weakness running so much load on a 5 rib belt. It is flawed setup right out of the box running OE sized 3.0 pulleys with our blower. I've never seen boosted 3.8L GTP/ Regals tear through belts the way we do, and they run a 6 rib design. Before 7,000 miles I was already tearing up the OE length 70.5" belt made by Dayco, but part of the reason I don't run Dayco anymore nor do I really encourage it is because they start splitting incredibly quick for some reason, so Gates is really all we got left that can handle what we do, them or Bando, as I really don't trust Continental either.

    And there you have it. :)

    Talk to Smoothflow

    Smoothflow is who I recommend for custom machined sized pulleys.
