It was seriously funny after I hiked 7 miles up Vernal and Nevada Falls in the Yosemite Valley to a point where I had one bar of LTE, and I see I have a barrage of notifications that my truck was spotted in my hometown.

I wasn’t offended at all! I think it was pretty damn funny seeing my truck on a popular Instagram page. It definitely looked ridiculous, and I thought all the attention I got from it was just too amusing.

Here it is with the chains, which was a temporary solution! I have security clamps and fasteners in the mail but I couldn’t let it sit another night without securing it. It was the thickest heaviest chain Home Depot sold, rated for logging and D.O.T. certification.

    Here is Nevada Falls.

I don’t think it funny, sarcastic maybe, not funny.

My snorkel is just for looks, I’m solo most the time, rarely if ever cross a stream let alone a river. It’ll probably fill with pine needles and ice and then get torn off this winter. Hell, I almost didn’t even use the little rubber connecting piece.

Yes but he's in dirt roads A LOT I think. So it might actually do him good. Might. He doesn't care if it helps anything. That's fine too. There's a chance he gets a benefit out of it

Snorkels doing a lot of good there. You'll have clean air going to the motor with that milky oil and water in everything else  and let me know how that fan takes to hitting water when it fills the engine bay and how far you make it hahaha

Yep, IAT is pretty much the only difference I have noticed since the install.

Not unless you stop and sit there for awhile. Water doesn't just rush in unless your windows are down.

No. Positive pressure is coming out of your exhaust keeping the water from going in. If you were to stall and try and restart you might have problems.

    No

I'd have two hydrolocked engines if I didn't have one. I agree they look stupid but it's saved me a couple thousand dollars.

The only electrical issues I've had from flooding my truck are related to the airbag system. I still have not gotten around to figuring it out yet. Bearings are a different story though. Seized both tensioner pulleys and water pump bearing started weeping. First time I submerged it my wheel bearings took a shit shortly after. Drain your trans, tcase and diff fluids if you sit in water up to the door for long.

The stock airboxes are designed so that if a bit of water enters it it sits at the bottom and isn't sucked into the rest of the intake. A small amount of water isn't going to harm your engine, it may actually steam clean your cylinders.

Edit: This may not be the case with the 3.4 but the 2.7 could probably hold a quart of water before it started to touch the filter.

Got the Methods mounted today with Meso TRD caps. Was planning on doing rear suspension first but a great deal popped up on these. Rear suspension is up next
