this pic makes it look easy. this rivet removal is very physically demanding and time taxing. the switch to 410s is a perfect upgrade for me as my truck is multipurpose. freeway banshee to low speed work tool hauler. I really like what it drives like now. smoother ride with garbage shocks is very impressive. to those considering major suspension changes please consider archive garage. great parts, even better service.

    Some of the things...
Curious to see if that 1" block is enough to give you any axle wrap issues. I'm in need of some additional lift but being s/c'd and regeared I worry about the leverage.

indeed. 1st guy from Tacoma world I met. he lives 15 minutes away. got me squared away on my lighting and I did some tile work he didn't want to do. we do mods together on the regular.

Got in contact with Locked on instagram, got a few more questions answered and got a set of these awesome bumps ordered! Goodbye stock rubber bumps, and hello high-speed hyrdros. I can't wait to tune and see them and my @ARCHIVE 14" relocate towers and hammer hangers all working together to get that smooth travel.

I can say things already are much better with archive goods despite my current pathetic shocks. later this month the final goodness happens.

The increase in ride quality and driveability with the hammer hangers cannot be understated. That coupled with the relocation towers to fit longer shocks, giving the axle more travel to work within, you can get very good performance with proper installation and tuning. It's no bed cage, but I love how robust the system is. My limitation right now is my cheap dakar leafs, which currently aren't setting my ride height as needed and aren't cycling as cleanly as I'd like.

...I think I've finally decided that spring under axle is in my future. I like to go fast too much and I already have extended shackles anyway.

They aren't just for high speed. I'm looking at getting some 4" travel bumps and softening up the shocks a bit for the first few in. of travel then using them to stiffen up the last amount of travel at the last few inches of my bump travel. Been going over this stuff with a tuner to try and optimize how I wheel the truck. Still not definitive on the bump length yet though.

shock tuning is very much science.

Yeahhhh, you're the one that slapped longer duration cam in there, aren't you? ;) One day I wand to get under the hood, but my bank account doesn't have the dexterity for any of that anytime soon while I'm working with suspension.

Of course they can work well for crawling. At higher speeds though, and for using the full suspension cycle on the bump, I wouldn't want rubber in there and have the risk of it disintegrating. Honestly, I've been reading that bump length is best decided by what works well with 1) how much up travel you have, 2) how your shocks are setup, and 3) how fast you plan on going (how harsh of bottoming out with weight of rig). A 4" inch bump won't be as easy to tune with 6" of uptravel, because after 2 inches you'll already be in the bump zone (regardless of bypass or not), so the valving in your shocks has to be spot on to work well with whatever PSI you're running in that bump and that still leaves out the variable of speed. It's easier if you're running a bypass because you can tune for compression to lead into a smaller bump zone and thus a smaller length bump per that amount of travel. If you're slower speed, and don't plan on running a bypass, you might be able to get away with using a 4" bump and run a lower PSI for that longer bump zone you're talking about (and since no bypass valving). Least that's how I've understood it so far.:hattip:

you know way more about suspension than I do. I mainly got into it to rid myself of blocks on stocks as I like lift and swift.
cams are in final production. I'll be one of 8 guys in the country with them. my mod list is pages long. bores most folks but I love it. nothing better than making a German sports car go all out feeling threatened buy a Tacoma fully loaded. (Cheshire grin)

Did you add a leaf to your U571 spec? The Deaver U402 stage 1 has only 9 leaves, and these ones look like they have 10. I want to jump on these, but if they're just U402 stage 1 load, then they're no good for me. I constantly have a bed load of around 500#.

These aren't same as U402, specs are different for these for droop. They can handle 500lbs, do you have a rear swing out bumper though?

No swing out bumper, but have bed camper cover and tow a small trailer with 200# tongue weight.

I already have your HH installed with 3.6 shackles. Currently running Dakar HD. Just need something a little softer.

Yes, I read thru this entire thread and learned about the resi fitting orientation. I had to loosen the fittings and rotated them. Now the stickers are upside down :(
