You guys are fucking nerds. Also, if you start shredding the lugs, it means youre spinning on them and melting them, and the bases wont save it. Thats how you ruin maxtrax, my treds, and any other plastic traction pad in existence. So have some self control when you use them!

Duly noted. I was thinking if the points got melted there is a lot more surface area on the base of the lug that could provide a little traction and melt slower.

Nice thing about the replaceable lugs is you can rotate from the middle of the track to the leading edge if there is any wear

2nd on the sawzall, at least for the inner structure. I still like my grinder wheels that blow up, for like, no reason.

Thirdsies, sawzall with a good metal blade runs through the cab mount like a hot knife through butter.

Edit: still have to get my plates welded on :bananadead:

I forgot about that. I've been thinking about trying to weld up a full hoop set onto the ebay bumper. Especially because mine is the 5 piece it would be nice to have that reinforcement. Only bad part is that it's already powder coated. Think you could do?

    Ya its a thing.

bad thing about the P-coat tho, it won't blend to whatever the new tube gets painted with.

I need another free weekend to throw one of those... During which I'm liable to go down to the gorge or sumthin.
GF now wants a jeep, theres a CJ5 with rotted floorboards for $2500, if I can get it for ~$1200 Imma do that lol.
But then she'll prolly show up at every meet and show us how EZ shit can be in a short wheelbase vehicle.
Also need to host a mod party soon to get help with my 5spd swap.

Truth. Once it gets here I'll have to look at it and see if I can get it to match closely. I don't need it to be exact, just close enough.
