You're bragging about camping in a dirt parking lot. Really not that threatened. Haha. You wouldn't hack it up here. It's OK. Enjoy your swag

Nah, it's like someone telling you that you can't do something, when you just did it 10 minutes ago. It's easy to tell they've got no idea what they're talking about

When I was a kid, my dad had a Jeep Wrangler with both a hard top and soft top; no garage. He built a small wood structure for the hard top that kept it dry and the big critters out whenever it was off the rig. It wasn’t anything fancy but it did the job.

We did have to clean spider webs and such from it each time we took it out, but that was expected.

That's what I call as thinking too. Did your dad's have any vents for air flow? Or was mold just a non issue

He didn’t have any vents. Mold wasn’t an issue but a couple vents would be cheap insurance to avoid anything like that.

I like the trailer idea, use it for sheltering the tent, move said apparatus out when hauling things, if you have a place to park the trailer long term.

    That was all one sentence.

I am not sure, havent measured, but it would be close.... had to bring a pool table down there sideways.. so vertically it would fit.. just awkward to handle.. and I could'nt get it in and out by myself..

Sounds like your best option. Get/Make a couple of saw horses to store it on. Grab a buddy to help.

more than likely this is my only option... any other suggestions for storage? spray out with febreeze?, open it up in the basement (not open it, but remove/unzip cover to let fabric/matress breathe..)???

I don't have any experience with RTT's. But I would guess that you could close it as long as it's dry (just as you would if it were mounted to your truck). If you have a clean/dry basement with no critters, you should be good.

Also @SR-71A your current situation is a bit different than this past winter haha. Been out much? I bent a few rods out on OBX last week. Hurricane season I guess.

Op not sure how much you want to spend on storage but id look into constructing a cheap shed.
