    gotcha!
    i push 350 at a bit over 16 gallons
when my light starts to flicker I know I have at least 40 more miles and need to find a fillup spot fairly soon, it has gotten hairy on a couple of occasions in the middle of nowhere, shut down the A/C and cruised at 55mph to be on the safe side

i have run out of fuel on the highway long time ago in prior used car and company work truck (s10) ... not fun to have to hike it and hope for a nice person to pick you up and transport for gas
i will always pick up someone in distress on the freeway that looks like they ran out of fuel, but they will have to ride outside in the back of my pickup, unless its a hawt female!

I’m quite familiar with axel wrap with weak stock spring. I got Deavers because it was so bad. Every stop and go there was a thud.

I was curious if anyone has had axel wrap from a hard pull or letting off the gas after a hard pull. I believe that was the issue because Now I’m getting some wrap stop and go. Either I ruined some bushings or a u joint. Not sure yet.

More like recoup about 12-13k that I've spent in the last 6 months on my truck alone ( including buying the truck of course).

Lol thanks. If you want raw, in your face torque, jump in the C6. If you want smooth power delivery, and a comfortable drive, jump in the 5.0

    20190815_104914.jpg

I've got a Z06 that's got a blown rear end, so I'll be Corvette-less for a little while; the other is non-op and not smog legal.

The misses hates that I let her drive anything I have, except a Vette

Nice. Id suggest trying to fit it on the cab side for 2 reasons.

    1) weight, insead of being behind the axle it'll be in front which will help the handling. Might seem silly, but pays off. Think that tank is like 10-12 gal right? Thats 40-60lbs of water.

    2) bed access. That thing won't move and it'll be in the way to get to all the things you want to unpack every time. If it doesn't need to come out every night, put it by the cab. This is a good simple rule to live by I've found as it will make packing and unpacking the truck way way easier, faster, and more efficient.

Theres my 2 cents for the day.

Im happy to get 180-190 out of Frank :anonymous:

Water weighs 8.3 lbs per gallon, more like 83-103 lbs on that tank if it's 10-12 gallons and full.

I always appreciate a TW members feedback (unless you're a 3rd gen owner) lol.

    My reasoning for placing it there is because;

My Powertank is mounted on the left. My 5 gallon fuel jug sits on the right, and bungee corded to the non-rusted, factory installed, all in one piece rope hook.

In the center I place a larger ice chest, which I can access from reaching over the bed if needed.

Immediately after those items is a canopy (which folds up square/blocky), 2 folding chairs, a folding table, and a plastic bin full of camping essentials.

The front half of the bed is taken up already, but the way I have things laid out, I have access to the items I need to get out and set up in the order I need.

Ideally the water jug should be up close to the cab, but then I'll need a much longer water line to reach my portable, electrically driven sink.

    Open to thoughts...
