Fair enough. Let's all just hope that she pulls through it okay and has many more years of being spoiled by you and yours. That's all that's important at this point.

Still not as frisky as normal, but she seems to be coming out of her daze and purring a lot more. Also, she's got a sweet haircut now too.

Really happy to hear that. Did the vet ever come up with a cause?

    Breezy and Bella integration update...

It's been 8 months and Breezy is still growling and hissing some. Bella mostly ignores it until enough is enough... I started chatting with a co-worker who manages 4 furry personalities in her home. Bella clearly isn't starting the conflicts, but she will definitely finish them. The bottom line comes down to this for these two - distraction when the growling starts or when Bella gets that I'm bored and want something to do look. Last night, we must have spent 3 hours after work playing with two "feathers on a stick" ( one for each of them ) which included one session at 1am. Tonight, the same thing, lots and lots of play and the result has been two days of minimal growling, one hiss, and no chases.

Hurray for our " light bulb moment" and hopefully a more harmonious road forward.

It's going to take time but if you're persistent it'll happen soon !!!!!

When Snickers was still around Gizmo was constantly chasing her . He would pounce on her and I could tell she was scared of him . It took me over 7 years of to finally get Gizmo to stop going after Snickers . Before she passed Gizmo wouldn't leave her side and was actually helping her groom her fur . He also slept right next to her and was awesome to see how he changed

And my new member update. Goggles seems to be adjusting to things around here and the rest of the crew has been reasonably accepting. A hiss here and there but no fights. He seems to have the house layout figured out. The first few days free in the house he would go back to the dining room to kind of hide if he was stressed. Now even thought it’s still open he is eating around the others. There is some standoffishness around the community food and water bowls but again no fights. Goggles has also found and is using the communal litter boxes rather then his personal one in the dining room. The existing crew seems to have no issue with the new guy using their boxes and I’m taking this as another good sign of acceptance/integration. Litter box issues would have bothered me and been a big issue for my wife who was not expecting another cat. Big relief for my and hoping for continued harmony. Dinner for four though for some reason Marty seems a little leery of him. Also bonus Goggles matches the comforter so win. Sorry for the wall of text got on a roll.

My wife's aunt and uncle have a few cats and one of them is a megachonker bordering on a 'oh lawd he comin' ...I actually feel bad for it, it has to be picked up and moved around the house by hand because she can hardly walk on her own. She has some kind of thyroid disease or something that made her gain massive weight.
