Had a call last week where someone took a wide left turn and hit a kid in the crosswalk. The kid had the absolute right of way, and had the driver stayed in his lane, this would have been only scary instead of critical. Bravo Zulu to the PD for enforcing this...

Didn't take a negative approach. As Govt worker who writes citations all the time I knew to use my blinker.

In Texas you can left turn into any lane legally as long as turn lane isn't marked for a certain lane. I know AZ rules are different but I did use my blinker and there were zero people or cars in the area. it was like ghost town.

Officer was really cool and we even had some BS dialogue like buddies would do. I was wearing my government "uniform" so it wasn't like i was a cartel member. First thing he walked up and said this is just a warning stop I wanted to remind you of AZ traffic rules, school is back in session so be mindful of kids entering the intersection.

yeah maybe I needed to "establish" myself in the lane next time.

Guess I will rethink turning left then right into a cvs or gas station located in corners of intersection.

Just installed a Ring Floodlight camera to cover the RV gate side of the house - was $50 off at Costco and the boss couldn't pass it up.

So freaking easy to install and set up, I love the Ring products.

Now we need one for the other side of the house and maybe the garage front since the doorbell camera only get part of the driveway.

I have installed numerous ring products for people over the years and I really like them. At the time, they didn't integrate with anyone so I chose Nest as they already worked with Google. I've been happy with Nest, but the Ring is very user-friendly product.

I have Ring covering my whole house. I like them. I just wish they would get HomeKit or Google integration, but seeing Amazon owns them, I think 3' of snow in downtown Phoenix is more likely.

I saw a video this week about how easy the SimpliSafe alarm is to bypass, only requires a $5 UHF transmitter from amazon. Becareful with the wireless alarms. I read a good piece of advice, always place an alarm system sign for a DIFFERENT alarm than you have. This cheap mod might trick someone into thinking they know how to bypass yours.

Oh cool. We're on the brink of ditching our alarm system in the near future. Do you install the systems for your job? I will check out Ring.
