Wheel fell off today...

    Seems like a Pro Comp wheel problem witnessed this guys wheel pass him headed to moab last month.

    That I have to admit was there before hand. Small pinhole that I patched and that I guess started leaking again. But I do agree that the rest of the quote is wild. I may give them a call and ask for reimbursement for at least some of the steering components.
    This is crazy! I hope it's not a pro comp issue. I've purchased new ET lug nuts with a deeper 60° cone to ensure there's no chance they can be pulled through.

    I used to have an S10 back in highshool. Upper balljoint was very worn.. to the point where you could move the wheel by hand. Kept driving it. And guess what... one day, going down the hwy WITH a hitch hiker i picked up, front wheel gets torn off, looked exactly like the OPs. Some studs sheared off, some the threads stripped off. So the worn balljoint was the cause of it all, it allowed the wheel to wobble enough over a few seconds that the inertia tore it off.... hitch hiker went and got my wheel out of the forest..
