I recently had new tires put on, so I'm assuming it isn't because they are out of balance. Also, about a week ago I had brand new calipers, pads, and rotors done.. so I'm assuming it's not the brakes.

No change better or worse after having the brakes done.

It tracks pretty true when I'm driving, and it doesnt seem to rattle/wobble as badly every time.. more intermittently.

After brakes and tires I'm out of ideas, and the ball joints and tie rods all look and feel fine. All input much appreciated, thanks!

What you mean by rattles? Sounds like something is loose?

Unfortunately I'm not good at describing but, it does sound like something's loose, and sort of wobbles side to side.

If it wasn't doing this before the new tires and brakes then absolutely it could be from one of them.....unless new means 6 months ago

Got the truck in April, got the tires in May, had the calipers/pads/rotors done last week. The rattle/wobble doesn't seem to have gotten any better or worse since I bought it. Only when I'm on the brakes, and sometimes it is noticeably worse than others.

If it's only when the brakes are applied....then it sounds like warped rotors. Not a serious condition. Just annoying

Just a bunch of old crap
I vote for warped rotors. Factory ones get heat imperfections and they act like warped rotors, no matter how many times you have them machined/turned. Get away from OEM rotors and go with something better. I battled this issue for far too long, and had a wobble on breaking that was super elusive. I rebuilt the front end, got new wheels/tires, hub centering rings, rebuilt suspension, etc and it was the damn OEM rotors.

It does seem like warped rotors, but I just bought and had this kit here installed a few days ago and there's no improvement.

Doesn't mean they can't be warped.

BTW, incorrect torque (usually too high) or variances of greater than 20% between individual lug nut torque can warp rotors.

There's an good chance they hammered the lug nuts down with an impact. Lots of lazy mechanics out there
