Im sure its an easier transition from the factory solid axle to a dana 60 in the front , then going IFS to a 44 or 60. I still didnt think itd be that much more (plus or minus a few grand)

 

Well I could see what you’re saying being in the 10k range. Axle around 5k, another 5k for labor.

 

I went to that last year. The oysters were tasty.

 

@EatSleepTacos SAS not SAC. Would make a big difference in price I think.

 

Everyone that I’ve ever seen talk about cutting out ifs and put in a solid axle calls it an SAS, at least on this forum.

I thought the convo was about the price of the rear axle swap. Which should be closer to 10 instead of 20k.

Well if you manage to still have it in a few months I think I’ll grab it. Other money priorities right now, but I do want the cross bar since I’ve been really enjoying going faster in my truck.

 

I would assume the mounts would, but im not sure about the bar...maybe?
