It really is fun. So much better then the 5 speed I had in my Yaris. Still getting used to the manual in the tacoma but I have yet to stall it. Knock on wood for that one. I'm also getting 21.5 mpg at around 200 miles driven already. I wonder if this mpg will continue to be better then what was on the sticker. That millage is about 50/50 between city and highway.

I do, I just don't have the money to do any mods while I finish up college. Though, once I get my first job out of college I know this truck will put a big dent in my wallet! :D I'm thinking of doing a bed cover and maybe an OEM lift to start with. After that it will just depend on the needs I will have or want.

Totally get it man. I definitely dropped a pretty penny on mine after I graduated. Honestly if you're going to lift it I would put some money down for some solid icon or king shocks, depending on the type of wheeling you're going to do

In all honesty, I have never gone off-roading before. So I have no idea what I would ideally want. I need to find a local group willing to take a greenhorn out on their first off-road adventure. I know this truck is capable of doing it, I would just want to go with a group for my first outing to guide me through everything. I would also be more inclined to go camping with my truck with a camper anyway.

Oh yea definitely get a feel for your truck then before putting any serious work into it. For what it sounds like you're doing stock will treat you just fine

Thank you for the advice! I will definitely get some experience before I start doing offroading mods so I know what I want or need.
