I recommend only getting a MGM one and NOT another color and matching it after.

I made my own satoshi gril and have a 2015, so not a deep lip (which is easier). Perhaps there was an easier way but i grinded down all the plastic insert except where it connects to grill surround. Then i used fiberglass to make a new skinny lip and attached the grill I cut/bent from perforated metal. Well I trashed the grill surround in this process. I sanded it down and painted it. Well color matching a metallic paint is difficult for a novice like me. I have sanded it down by hand and repainted it three times since the first attempt. I'm finally at an acceptable minor difference that only I notice. It took me going to a car paint shop, giving them the color code to make it, the paint shop guy teaching me mix ratios to prep the primer and base color and ratio of hardener to clear coat, buying a paintgun and big compresor, and making a ghetto clean paint room with plastic sheeting and fans.

The paint guy said metallics are the hardest and you need professional skills to perfectly match it.

So..... matching MGM is a bitch for non professionals. If you can get OEM MGM do it or pay a professional. Its hard to find ones that do such small jobs but you could find one.

Not sure you can order a stock one through this guy, but check it out, maybe you can:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gunny-is-back.476544/

Just my 2 cents and a warning of the pains that come with our color.

    Hey and welcome to TW.

    thanks for the detailed info!

I may see if I can just source the grille insert itself and not the surrounding frame for it - mine seems to be stock with just the insert replaced. But if I can get a whole new grille it’d be great.

I’ll take a look at what you sent

Not exactly 'pay it forward' since I'm charging but I will have a set of FIVE KO2s in LT 265/70 16 off the truck tomorrow and would sell them to a TW member for $400. Look great, only have about 8-9k on them. Spare has 0 miles but is dirty from hanging under the truck. Gotta pick them up locally (Eureka). If no takers they'll go on CL for a premium.

Edit. Moved to CL and sold, dude was a cool guy at least.
