gotta love that. weve had a rough month or two a while back where 3 of us were were the only ones working to cover a months worth of shifts. way too many 12 and 16 hour days back to back 7 days a week. good paycheck but man I was beat. the wife wasn't a fan either.

Yeah, the fiancee isn't gonna like this one, I'm sure.

I'm just hoping our beer league team has an earlier game that Sunday.. So maybe I could still make the game before shift

I also just found out last night that I can throw extra holiday time onto my timecard to count as OT, which is nice.

I think it just counts as regular time and a half OT. I don't think we get holiday time since all of our holiday PTO is floating.

I'd have to look to see how many hours we actually get floating each year. I haven't really paid attention to much of that, I just take it if I have it.

yea same here, we get 2 true floating holidays, but if we work on a holiday and don't want to take the holiday ot we can save it and use it as a day off later within the same year.

Yeah, I need to look into it someday cause we have Granted PTO, Accrued PTO, and Floating PTO and I honestly couldn't tell you much more than that. When I need time off, I use whichever is available, which probably isn't the smartest way to go about it. Cause I'm pretty sure granted and/or accrued rolls over up to 200 hours and floating doesn't.

yea our floating doesn't accrue, but our PTO and MTO can roll over 200hrs a year.

I also don't know when it expires/rolls over. If it's fiscal year or not. If it's fiscal then I'm probably gonna have to get to using my floating hours/putting those down as OT. I'll have to go pick one of the guys' who's been here longer's brain and take some notes

Don’t know how it works Stateside but I divert most of my OT into the pension plan. My employer matches it. Then I qualify for a greater tax deduction come tax time. When/if I get the refund, I pour that back in as well.

Adds up & starts compounding really fast. The plan is fully invested & was makin’ 7-11% yearly. There’s talk they might put a cap on it but for new hires only. Not us guys.

I have no idea about that. I know they'll match up to 6% of our contribution into our retirement plan
