That’s what I’m gathering... the first one I saw was on a supermoto track bike and he beat the hell out of it without issue. The surface draw is ridiculous and lifespan is great too, one day the technology will catch up.

From what I’m told it is stability of the plates, wraps, pyramids that are used. They crack under heavy abuse and if the casing gets split, spontaneous ignition happens.

If you could build a cage to suspend the battery so it had 0 movement and less than .3 gs of impact with a self contained fire suppression system, you would be good.... not sure if there is enough room under the hood to build a battery fortress...

I have one of those ballistic 8 cell Motorsport lipo 4 batts, 2 years of no use and still connected to the bike, no power to turn it over, enough to cycle all the electrics though, just needs a another batt to give it enough to turn the starter. Amazing tech. OEM bat was 9 pounds the lipo4 is 2 pounds...

Check with Shorai batteries... a couple of years ago they were developing a proprietary battery for autos... dunno if they ever got DOT approval....

Need some input im stumped with this particular minor issue I’ve noticed last couple of days.
When normal driving usually from a stop or 55-60 mph when I mash the throttle more than halfway feels like the truck has no power. It’s not missing or shaking just doesn’t go for a few seconds like bad turbo lag. I’ve pulled a couple of plugs were clean, cleaned MAF and checked air filter it’s clean.
Here’s the kicker for chits and giggles I turned off the traction control and it drives great but no CEL or other dummy lights on during with the traction system on. Could this be a wheel sensor??
