How the heck did you install those Total Chaos bed stiffeners over the Bedrug? I have the same setup and just got those bed stiffeners, and don't even know where to begin to get it as clean as you have done. Nice job! Did you have to buy longer bolts?

Follow the instructions that come from TC and then you need to basically shave the foam on where the bed stiffeners sit. So its almost just bed, fabric and then stiffener. Then you need to try and get it to line up with the bottom of the bed and the top bolt, soon as you get those 3 in then drill the holes near the tail lights. I made the mistake of doing it without the bed rug in and it took a bunch of messing with it to get it to fit right.

Awesome, thanks for the advice on shaving the foam. I'll give it a shot this weekend.

Shouldnt be too bad its just a little time consuming. Make sure to shave on the sides and on the bottom. Youll get to the point its just fabric (pretty thin too)

Thanks so much for the advice. I cut the foam as you advised, and everything lined up perfectly!IMG_8480.jpg

Hey I need to get the Total Chaos bed stiffeners and install them with my bed rug. Not sure if it's better to go over or under the rug. It seems like there would be a little more give with them being over the rug and the foam in between. Would you still install them the same way?

I'm very happy with the way I did it - over the BedRug. The only way to do it over the BedRug is to shave off all of the foam until it is just the fabric. So there is no give. It takes a while and is kind of a pain in the butt, but well worth it. Good luck!

Yeah that makes since to shave the foam underneath. Wow this sounds like it's going to be fun.

Update to the intro part due to what happened with Pelfreybilt. I moved in August and am finishing up some stuff with the garage and house this month. Building a coffee table/end table as we speak. Redoing the drawer system because 3/4 was way to heavy to handle. I want to be able to lift the system out myself and I had a few build changes I wanted to do.

    Little update:

Install Switch-Pros 9100 finally. Used the SDHQ Mount.

Installed my own set of bed lights, was not willing to spend what someone wanted for the set up so made it myself. It’s tapped into the leer switch in the shell.

Caliraised Ditchlights on CBI Ditchlight brackets installed (Prob selling this set up)

Installed Rigid Amber Floods in the foglights.

Swapped out my BD squadron from a amber flood to clear combo and mounted them behind the grille on a bamf bracket

You can see how bright the LEDs in the shell are at night. Probably need to switch them out for red cause they ruin your night vision.

Stopped at Tepui a couple of weeks ago to try and get a new cover. Still debating keeping my RTT.

Nice setup, Did you install your thule tracks over the thicker part of the ceiling of your topper or the thinner area along the edge? Any issues with your RTT on the topper thus far?

And Im bummed to say even though I garage the truck it rusts way more then then 2nd gen ever did. This is from putting the mid skid on. Every single bolt hole had rust running through it.

How do you like the Leer and how has it been holding up? I'm considering this or the ARE CX HD, I personally think the leers look better which may sway me although it's close, the internal frame is interesting. Your setup looks nice and clean.

Do you like all the T locks? I'd get the same with the windoors but I could see it being a PITA to lock everything up, not any remote locks that work with them, right?

Leer has been alright. I had to work my butt off to get it pretty much water sealed and its still not perfect. I keep a container in the bed to prevent mold and mildew. T-locks are fine since the same key works for all the locks just need to remember to not pull one when the others locked lol. My shell is the contractor grade so its the reinforced model but it is made like a contractor product so its not perfect. Theres been some little tweaks here and there that I have had to do.

Depending which style you go with (non contractor non reinforced) all the locks can be remote.
