I've done a mod or two
They do too but the payoff isn't as huge unless you renovate and obviously that takes away from the profit

It's cool how they never changed the body style, you can still get them from Airstream with modern amenities.

They're like 3x more expensive than a comparable camper though.

I have 2 weeks off around christmas/new years so I'd like to drive out with a trailer and bring it and all of the tools back. Not sure if it'll fall apart if I winch it onto the trailer lol

Just gotta make sure that I can swing it out far enough to clear my RTT when it's open...my tent only mounts to my bed rack if it opens over the tail gate which might pose a problem, IDK yet

Hopefully it works though and I can finally get my spare tire out of the bed and clear up some space there

Also concerned about having too much weight there coupled with the tent, don't want to crack my bed or bend the frame...gonna ask him about reinforcing it if he thinks it's necessary

It's a lot like the one that Wilco made for our trucks before it got discontinued.

I'm not sure if the tire mounts perpendicular to the ground with it or if it angles inward like the Wilco one does (I think)...if it angles inward it might be a problem. Will find out later today I guess

I'll ask him later today how the tire mounts, I'm hoping it's straight up and down unlike the one in that gif I posted above. I think it'll work for more applications that way including if you have a shell, softopper, bed rack, etc.

Great to hear man. If I ever need to tow a trailer cross country with a 1FZ that's farting coolant without blowing it up, I know who to hit up for advice. :D
You better get to a casino with that great luck you've had last few days
