Well, I’m buying a camper shell tomorrow and I’m gonna end up buying another Hooke road roof rack for the shell. I love this idea! Guess we’re gonna have to install roof rails to mount this on the camper. I’ll modify the front and cut the curve off like this gentleman. I’ll probably leave the front balance on and cut the little tips off and run it backwards to make it match the front. FC90F66C-1284-46B8-AD6B-7AC99F53303F.jpg

Not sure why this would be an issue. It's a roof rack and very solid. I have 4 pelican cases, and I had a kayak on top of those.

Well this was disappointing....this is what I arrived home too...who knows how much hardware is missing at this point. It was literally spilling out of the box before I touched it.

Already reached out. Realized I didn't get the lights that were supposed to come with it either. Waiting to hear back from customer service.

Let’s see some pictures of how this roof rack is being utilized gentlemen. Read through the entire thread, and I’m curious as to how those who have this rack are mounting things on it. It’s obviously doesn’t have the t slots slide compared to the other racks I’ve seen. Trying to learn more about it before I purchase it. Thanks in advance.

Their customer service is outstanding...the lights will come separately..usually 3 days behind. This is a very solid roof rack.

Thanks man! I really want to get it, but wanted to get some recent feed back on the rack first. Going on here always helps me decide what I’m going to waste my money on.

There are 15 pages here telling you it’s not a waste. I have these Pelican type cases bolted to the crossbars. Absolutely solid as can be. I also put my 12' Kayak on top of them. Super strong. I off road a lot and camp a lot, I put my stuff though the paces. You will not be disappointed. Side note...the light bar wire will be fixed tomorrow. Too tired to mess with tonight. It will run down the windshield...it fits perfectly right in that groove.

Looks awesome man! I’ll more than likely be ordering the roof rack tonight. It looks like they’ve fixed the rear shark fin clearance issue too. Which light bar and mount do you have on your rig?

Mine is a 2006 so I didn't have that rear antenna problem. Just make sure you get the ones without the numbers...they're also coming with black hardware now, too. The light bar is a dual one...it's got the steady burn flood, and another switch flashes red (for my FD stuff) But you can put pretty much any lightbar up there....there are plenty of holes for you to use on that fairing. I am more than happy with this purchase. I was one click away from buying a 700+ Prinsu...but something told me to google <Tacoma RoofRack> and I found this exact thread!!!!! Saved a ton of money.

Thanks a bunch man! I just ordered it on Amazon. It’s the updated version without the numbers, and it looks like they cut a triangle on the last crossbar to clear the rear antenna. Stoked!
