Yes I did and was amazed to see a mid 4 in Kansas

I've been checking the USGS website all day especially since I saw the 5.4 off the coast of Oregon . That Earthquake was on the Juan De Fuca fracture zone the same area that pushed the energy into Calif that triggered the 6.4 and 7.1 last month in Ridgecrest

Did you watch that video I posted ???? , that person said to expect a 5 to mid 5 for the same area near Ridgecrest

Story time for @US Marine and @MTgirl .

I was born and raised in the Santa Clara valley, California. We had our share of quakes when I was growing up. Half of them I never noticed because I spent so much time in the pool. Swimming that is. I once finished a set in practice and the coach was gripping his seat. He said it was a big quake. The only reason I believed him was because we could see the splashed water over the pool deck.

I've been through rolling quacks, jarring quakes, and thunderous quakes.

The quake that scared me the most was one that I wasn't even close to. It was the Loma Prieta quake in 1989. I'm sure you know that one. It was during the Giants vs the A's World Series. I was in Denver, Colorado at the time. My parents still had the house where I grew up in, at the time.

I got back from a late class and my brother was deathly white. He said that there was a big quake back home and he could not contact mom and dad.

I spent the next three days watching news, when I could, and no word from our parents.

We finally got a call from our parents and they were safe. There was a lot of damage to the house but it was nothing compared to the other devastation in the area.

I was back there between quarters (Thanksgiving to after New Years) and we had several, very strong aftershocks (5+). My mother freaked out, even with the small ones that were barely detectable. That is one of the many reasons that she told dad that they were moving out of California to Las Vegas.

I remember seeing that on the news. Freaked me out even then - I would have been 10.
We've been seeing 2's here almost weekly with maybe a 4 something here and there with a bunch of little ones sprinkled inbetween.

Not sure if you saw my post last night but tomorrow marks the 60th anniversary of the biggest quake in MT recorded history...7.3 Thinking I might go down there tomorrow...

Man, its been a long day. But it has been a good day. All of you are here. All of you are seemingly well, or I hope and pray so.

Make it our goal tomorrow to be kind to someone we would not be normally kind to -

Give a needful person a couple of bucks, even if you think you should not -

Remember if you are in the mood to do something that you think is not right, and the devil says do it, then invite Jesus to sit next to you while you do it. Bet you won't do it then -

Following God is not that hard. We are the ones that make it that way. Peace to you all, and a good night.

I was at my brother's house up in Ukiah during that quake in '89. We were watching the pregame when it kicked loose. That was a pretty good one. A couple months later I was with a friend driving through the north bay area looking at where all the raised freeways used to be...just a clear swath. A couple months before I had driven across the bay bridge....I don't go through the bay area anymore. I haven't driven south of Marin County through the bay area since then.
