Check your fuses, and then verify that there's 12v and Ground at the OBDII port.

12.9 V and all fuses seem to be good. Any other thoughts for me to check when I get back in a few hrs?

I think I'd gotten something like that. I had to ensure that the module was in the port very well. It actually took a couple tries to get it seated properly.

Use a dvom across pin 16 and pin 4. Should read battery voltage.

Bingo this is what it was. Wiggled it around and could see the obd and host lights on the module start to flicker. Never had this issue with my regular obd scanner. @JustDSM you will have an email inbound shortly. Get to it when you can. Thanks everyone.

Thank you sir. I’ll give it a go in just a bit. How long does the flash process usually take? I know OV was saying theirs is way faster, and since this will be my first flash I want to know if I’m looking at 1-2min or like 5-10min

They've revised the flashing process recently to address the issues that a few folks here had. The process takes slightly longer than it did, but it does it in "packets" smaller bits. I'm not a tech-savvy guy with all the comms that take place, so I'm not really the authority to speak on that aspect of things. However you can expect it to take about 5-10 minutes for the first flash (which includes your licensing and buying credits online should you need too). It's about a 3-5 minute process for any subsequent flash and that's about what you should expect normally.

Are you connected to WiFi? (You'll need to be if not).

I suspect that's your problem. If you can, use your phone as a hotspot. You'll want a decent connection as there has to be comms between your computer and HPT servers for the flash process.

If there's anything you can do to improve signal strength in your garage, I'd do it for the few minutes the flash takes :)

Yeah, I've seen that error pop up when I'm on the road tuning and away from the house and I've forgotten to turn on my phone's hotspot. It's one of the "fails" that wont screw the pooch as the communication between your PC and HPT needs to occur before the flash actually happens.

Now I’m getting here and failing. Thinking this might not happen tonight.
