I did get to use my new electric ryobi for a much smaller tree, 100 yards before we ran into that mess though

...as soon as I get my chainsaw running properly....

I've heard good things about the EGo electric chainsaws. I have a 40v Ryobi hedge trimmer and thought about picking up one like you have since I already have a battery. If nothing else, I have a spare battery that I can bring in case yours runs out of juice.

...though on the High Watermark trail trip through Arkansas, the guy with the EGo electric chainsaw never got below half battery and it got used for several hours. I was impressed to say the least.

If I had the dough to dish out, I would have purchased the Milwaukee one. That thing is a beast. For the price, the Ryobi seriously can’t be beat, and I don’t foresee myself using it too often. Plus I got it as a birthday gift  This last trip, I just kept the charger plugged in the bed and kept it charging the duration of the trip. Seems like that technique should keep the battery ready to go at all times.

I’ve never heard of the EGo, I’ll have to take a glance at them.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Two things:
First, It’s hot a *uck outside today. Jesus, we just finished servicing 10 yards. My brain is boiling. I jumped in the shower on Full Cold, I couldn’t even tell the water was cold.

Second, respect Hedge Trimmers!!! Out of all the spinning blades I deal with day in and day out. Hedge trimmers are by far the most dangerous tools there are.
I have had two of my clients cut their fingers off this year, messing around with hedgers because they are so ADD they couldn’t wait 3 days for me to show up again. Seriously, keep both hands on those bitches! If you want to clean the bush off of the trimmings, put the damn things down.

My wife cut through the extension cord using the trimmer on Saturday haha. I was cutting the grass and she just walks up hold both pieces with a defeated look. She's only got one speed...Wide the f' open haha.

Tell the wife to act like she is holding little baby Jesus when she is using those things. Seriously, I have seen some shit this season. I accidentally cut thru a Telephone pole support cable with one of hedgers last year. I nicked it, and if cut thru it like butter.

After Saturday, she got demoted to hand tool duty. We must walk before we can run I told her as I handed her pruning shears
She didn't think it was as funny as I did.

Yeah, my gf and I had a similar conversation when we were plinking out at long distance.
Oh..Oh.., I can handle that she says. Well that’s the first/last time she scoped herself in the eye. Looked pretty funny for a couple days. I was getting looks in the grocery store. Lol

First time I ever saw my wife handle a gun was in college. She was handed a shotgun and immediately threw the stock up on the top of her shoulder like a bazooka. I about crapped myself. I learned that day I could never just assume things.

Had quite a few “experienced” shooters come out and get tagged by an eyepiece. Definitely changed our protocols on shouldering etiquette and sight awareness. The half moon scar on their brows makes for a humbling reminder.

Bring it on out. I am in shock I don’t have a good picture of our thrower but the range pic will have to do. 6E022A95-7B5B-4C02-8568-6A4C1CB1CFD9.jpg

It’s last minute, but is anyone interested in riding blankets creek early tomorrow? I’m headed that way with a few hour window in the AM. Hit me up if so.
