Yup kam Highway past temple valley get plenty. Oregon is under 150 bucks for two years for me to register the 4runner. My Tacoma is free and smog exempt cause of disabled vet status.

 

How hard is it to register and insure a salvaged vehicle here? Long story short, my friend is looking at buying a “rebuilt” Tacoma on cL. The seller says that salvage and rebuilt is the same, I told him that it’s not but he’s adamant on getting it.

 

I think he needs it certified by a third party shop.

Rebuilt title should be good to register .I think salvage you suppose to have certified shops doing repairs .But then friend been taking to certified shop to inspect and pass . Better to talk to DMV to be sure .
Worst part is some insurance will not cover salvage or rebuilt vehicles .And if they do insure if someone else is at fault there insurance might not give blue book because they say you cant put a value on a rebuilt car .Taking a chance
