Respect bud. Good on you chasing down what you want, most just wimp out.

On another note, check out Sand Castle on Netflix. Decent.

Kilo Two Bravo - British and heavy accent at times so had to turn on subtitles. Based on actual event - starts slow but ok. Poor bastards.

I should've taken a pic yesterday when I had to load up my truck with a bunch of boxes of stuff that I had to take over to my wife's new studio location...since I have my low profile rack and RTT mounted full time I don't have a lot of usable bed space. Which is fine for 95% of the time since my truck is primarily for camping/wheeling as well. But I wanted to get it done in one trip so it involved a lot of stacking on the tail gate and cramming things underneath the rack...and straps. Lots and lots of straps. Driving there on the freeway was a bit nerve wracking

Had a 4ft refrigerator in a box on my tailgate lol

So tonight my neighbor needed help on unloading his rebuilt 4.0 Jeep engine and it got too late to make noise tubbing for 35’s like I planned. I don’t like too many noisy nights for keeping peace with the neighbors.

“I can install my new lock cylinder” I thought. I got it off Amazon for the driver’s side and a local guy fixed it to use with my og key. I figured I’d still be having a fun, simple project knocked out and feel satisfied, going to bed early and waking up early to make noise on my truck.

    The universe laughed.

Key worked fine until I tested it out with the cylinder installed. Key wouldn’t come out or turn all the way. Great. Back out the bolts holding the handle in and my socket is missing when I pull my ratchet out. Find a black widow in the door as I look for my socket and take it as a sign not to be reaching around in the door. Grab a magnet to make short work of finding the socket. No luck.

Of course there’s one more bolt to get out and it’s a hard one to reach with a 3/8 drive socket but that’s all I have left. Find a hybrid set of sockets and extensions. Still wondering how the socket is missing.

Get the handle and lock out - this is what I’ll have to bring to the guy tomorrow:

Also I went back to try to find my socket - I looked in the door, on the ground, in the door again, on the ground again - I was less than stoked it was a 10mm since those memes have become irritating to me and I wasn’t in the mood for irony.

    Here you are.

And I saw this sweet beast today on the way home

It was a storage locker for two years.

Now I'm confused...the 5 lug was in a storage locker? I thought it was in your driveway all this time

No no, it WAS a storage locker. I took the interior apart intending to restore it all and never put it back together. I threw the entire interior into the backseats and fit whatever crap didn't have space in my garage into the bed and into the passenger seat. I'd drive it around the block (without the seat bolted down) maybe once a month to keep the battery charged.

I just finished putting it back together, it's going to the new owner tomorrow.
