Deer hunting BS thread

Im quoting myself for the pic.
I think we got a pic of this guy up the mountain almost a mile away as the crow flies. let me get the other pic...*edit I think its the same one...

They look different to me. Maybe.
The top pic looks like the left brow tine is starting to split, the bottom one doesn't. But I could very easily be wrong.

 

yeah I think thats the brow tine you see, then G1. I didnt get any other pics of him...Im 99% sure its the same guy...albeit a long ways from each other.

 

I was looking, I think it may be the same deer. both have good eyeguards. id say very possible same deer. it sure is a nice one.

 

I think that is the eyeguard infront of the G2 on the left side but could be wrong. either way Wilcam said you and I could come hunt. hehehe

 

strange how far apart the two cameras are. one is at the bottom of the hill on my property, the other is basically at the top of the hill, 1 mile or so as the crow flies. I know not a lot of distance for them. just figured they would stick closer.

 

actually I dont know if they are the same one or not now. the top one is 4pt on the right side...I cant tell if thats a brow tine or G2?

 

We hunt mtn. land and have @4500 acres. pics of deer we get before the season and then same deer 2miles away. I think they travel alot more than we realize.I try to tell my son to hunt saddles and travel routes instead of where he had them on camera in Aug.unless he has recent pics. the bucks i posted last nite will be around that area till mid Oct. then dissapear.that is a bow only area. the 9 pt we have had on camera a couple yrs. nobody has ever got him.

 

well if not you have 2 good ones around!!

 

Its like black bear, rarely see any. Put a bear bait up and theres at least 4-8 different bears that come to one bait! These bigger bucks go nocturnal and thats why few get shot.

 

Bucks travel a lot, does not so much.

 

Id be happy just to find some antlers from these...

 

I agree 100%. one guy we hunt with has played with a stud the last couple yrs. goes nocturnal during the season and starts showing up again in late Dec. he has kickers and is easy to pic out. they found his shed on NF turkey hunting this spring @2miles from last pic of him.

 

I'll meet you there in early November. Sure was nice of him to invite us.

 

saw some elk yesterday evening, 4 cows, 3 calfs, one spike. I dont think hes the herd bull but they were sure following him around like he was.

 

The Boys checked cameras this morning.they are in the field feeding area. Now this one has me fired up
