I should be a Baja Designs employee.....here's my guess what he'll say:

"Although the LP6 Pros do an amazing job of throwing light down the trail, these laser chips produce an extremely tight 1.5° pattern and are capable of throwing light 350% farther than current premium LED offerings."

The lasers will project much further than the LP6's. Having both will be great so the LP6 can cover mid-to-long distance and the Lasers will cover the extreme long-range distance.

Eventually I will.... just need to get my finances in order first. I think I've decided to upgrade the center section of a 30" dual mode OnX6 to full laser.

Then put it on my non-existent Prinsu rack..... probably should buy the rack first.

Haha yea man I got to figure out my finances as well but I might see about jamming mine in between the LP6s.

Probably answered many times so bear with me if so, but how much brighter are the S2 pros vs. S2 sport?

So on paper it's more than double but not exactly what I have enough experience with - wonder if S2 Sports would be adequate. Fastest I go in the day is 45 for most trails - at night it would probably be the same if lighting were adequate.

Well it depends... If you think a single set of S2 sports (or even pros for that matter) alone will allow you to buzz down a service road at 60 you crazy.

They are definitely good support lighting, but a couple of pods won't hold a candle to a good light bar for example. Are you currently just running stock headlights and you are looking for some additional oomph? Where would you be mounting them?

Just set my lights up - the S2’s would replace the quads.

Nice. Very good start. Any thought about getting a set of Squadrons? Or are you preferable to the form factor of the S2s?

I have a set of squadrons on my skid. I won't lie, wanted the single row just to keep it similar for aesthetics.

It's all good just wondering! If I were you I would say get a set of S2 Pros in spot pattern pointed slightly toed out as your current pods are to really fill in the ditch. Your bar has a combo pattern so you'll get a bit of both worlds there, but that OnX6 bar as it sits will leave a little to be desired right on the edges of the road.

If the funds are available to you you'll never say that you "should have just gone with the sports"... My .02

First of all I wanted to mention I bought your products in part due to the easy switch lenses. That said I’ve noticed more people putting amber lenses in the middle and white on the sides, however I’ve also seen a lot of trucks with the opposite. What would be a typical race setup where drivers have hours of night driving? I know in the end it’s all subjective and I can switch lenses without it killing my wallet, but I’d be interested to know if and what science goes into color choice for areas up front on a desert race truck. Once I get more money saved I’ll be looking into getting a couple more lights from Baja Designs. Until then I’ll keep working with what I’ve got.

    Hello Bailey,

I have a question about the relays used in your harnesses, I currently have 2 XL 80,s, 2 XL Racing Edition, 2 S2 Pros and Squadron Sports as my Fogs. I have another set of Squadron Pros that I am going to put on as my ditch lights when the brackets arrive. I don’t have a harness for the Squadron Pros so going to run my own wires. For my other lights, I purchased the harnesses from you. I went to try and look at the type/part number off of one of the relays that was on the harness I bought from Baja Designs. All the info on the relays is faded where I cannot read it, plus I noticed one of the relays has a crack. Could u tell me if all the relays used in your harness are the same? Example, same relay in the lights for the XL’s or the Squadrons? I looked on your web page for relays but they are not listed, could I buy 5 relays from you, or if the relays are different, replacement relays for all my harnesses. If not, do you have a link or part number for them?

And one more question, on the Squadron Pro’s that I am going to use as my ditch lights, they are currently the round version. I would like to make them the square version. I am assuming it is just the bezel on front that holds the lenses in that makes it a square or round version. Can I buy 2 square bezels for the Squadron Pro’s.

    Thanks in advance

    Brian
