Yeah I was looking at Mobtown as well but they were more expensive and 12-14 weeks out. These seem just as solid and they are 2-3 weeks. Ordered through Overland Outfitters in BC.

Beautiful little section of trail that goes along in a creek. Exit is a little tricky. Maybe 1+ trail rating :lalala:

Set up camp at Rideau River Provincial Park, camp sites are really big and flat. Not as many Mosquitos when compared to Algonquin Provincial Park!

Have you guys tried getting local steel fab shops to give quotes? Ask around.... You'd be surprised.

I thought we already had this conversation, trail gear sliders are like $500 then you just have to weld some legs and drill some holes. Less than $1000 easy

You need to check what material they are using though.

Most of the ones you buy from these fab shops are DOM tubing.
The material alone is pretty pricey. Remember when I was thinking of making a hammock stand vs buying.

Fuckin material was maybe $30 cheaper than just buying one and paying tax and shipping.
When you aren't buying in bulk the steel can be pricey.

@Taco-Can made his own. Not sure what material he used though, and what it cost him.

Dom tubing, i had a set and it was quality stuff. A quick search and people are pretty happy with them. Usually have to do a little fab work to make them work but for $500... when the guy is talking upwards of 2000

have they stopped spraying the sites for mosquitoes in Algonquin? Rock Lake has been pretty good but there might only be 2-3 sites at most to fit set ups as you got going it's been a few years since i last went

we did, but doesn't mean i can't ask for a quote about it, since curiosity had me trying to figure out what the shipping costs and duty taxes would run me. Know knowing what the costs of everything at the end of the day is, i've decided not to get em
    :anonymous:

The Mobtown's are something i want, but not something i need - i can always (and still intend to) make them as i do have the templates for the mounting system. I've got an idea of how to do it, i just need to actually do it.
