I miss the Saturday night meets, from the “tuner” days... circa 2004+. Meeting at Vans auto parts, riverside, Capital Of TX hwy, hwy 71 Walmart... night time meets are nice and cool, you’re not baking in the sun, less traffic, less crowded food spots.

A little something every chance we get.
Yes, WE need your fkn truck back!
I don't walk the lot with my old legs I am happy to watch the parade in and out. But I have seen a lot of them for longer, and "spare time-itis" can be dangerous. I enjoy the few hours with my new found friends, and their trucks. But, when you get running, you will have to come with me and @Beretta4x4 to SATX to see them. MUCH closer walk, and some trees! I foolishly though my truck was getting attention last week, when I found that someone had parked a new Jaguar next to me!

What if you turn it into a contest like the calendar photos. 12 locations for the up coming year. People could include their scouting report.

Mini meets, everyone has different schedules and different ideas of a good time. A quarterly meet for the whole club would be easier to work with. This crew has reached out to each other to help out where they can and making lifelong friends because of it. Getting more than ten members to meet up at one place takes up a lot of parking real estate, COTA has the accommodations we need and they set up a whole lot for us.

Example: Beautiful suggestion. On the surface, it's a resort. Homework would need be done. Probably more than a $5 entry.
https://canyonoftheeagles.com State or county park near by?

Now, if someone goes through the details, and says we can "do this, that, park here, during these hours, cook or not, etc." THAT is what is takes, and Chad can't do it all by himself.

Everybody does what they can and it will change when it's solidified by the group. Thanks to you and everybody's support I have no doubt it will continue to be awesome.

I just think it's seriously so hot right now, everything's tough.

Also, working on a DFW meet at the moment. That group has a TON of support to give and they deserve it for sure.

Lots going on, but it's nothing we cant handle and of course no one person could do it all.

I lean on the group as a whole and they never let me down yet

Growing pains are never easy. Always here to try to help, and answers are never as simple as saying "go here and there". Lot's of things to put in motion. I think you helped JP and HTX get a direction, and look what a few months have done. "Perfect meets?" No one has those, but are a lot of people now getting together? YES, YES, YES!

We got the RGV chapter firing up too.

Also, have some really nice shirts in the works and they'll be customizable with your name and member number.

Super duper stoked about them. Eveybody is going to look great!!

    We're doing great Boss.
Been wracking my brain for a basic logistics flowchart/form that people could use to orgainze runs/meets and smaller get together s.
Like the fun trail run we had, not everyone is going to meet, but you still have to have the logistics. I bet many more members would have enjoyed it as much as your Mom did!

Oh heck yeah, she still talks about it haha!

Mini meets, quarterlies, annuals, they're all awesome and can and will be done.

But, you're spot on about the logistics. It is what it is!

I just don't want to start picking places and people be saying it's too far, or this or that. That's all, we can choose as a group.

It's hard, for sure. The trail run? About the same number of FB members "said" they would have gone, if they knew. Now, reality says 1/2 that. BUT, the parking lot could have taken another 10 trucks, and if everyone paid attention to where the food was, no problems. The hard work was the route, the "questionably" harder work is making sure we fit. Now, parking around that creek would have been a fun crowd! But, otherwise, could have been done. I'm sure I can get my retired head around it at some point.

Don't stress it too my Kurt, seriously. These things have to happen naturally or the fun gets sucked out of it. And once it stops being fun...well these clubs dissolve faster than alka selzer.

True that. I have so much fun catching up with my new/old friends and their trucks, and meeting new ones, I don't care much where I sit to do it. I will bring some stuff to make it enjoyable. If everything were perfect, NO one would come or comment!
