Ill gladly be one too. We can sip lemonade from preban straws while pumping $2.30 gas together. All while being able to breathe just as easy as "clean" air California.

 

I enjoy what I can do here. Indiana has a sizeable surplus for its population too. Our industry is growing. I’ll stay here. Gas is cheap. Living is cheaper. And I’m making more as a mechanic here that I would be in Cali (yes I looked when the gf was out there)

I dont quite know how surplus' can be spent, as it seems Cali wanted a lot of federal money last year for the Camp fires, and their hi-speed rail line (thank god our pres shot that one down) If their surplus is so great, why couldnt they afford either of these things? Also none of those numbnuts failed to mention how people are leaving that state in droves every single day for places with lower (for now) taxes. Cant be that great of a state of thats happening.

I like living in a state for all the reasons you listed, and knowing my vote actually matters come election time.

I like NC, I just fear for its future in the next 10 years. I want to move to SC as thats the only state in the southeast that you never hear any northerner saying they want to move to eventually. Must be a real dump.


Which is fine with me.

 

I like the being left alone part. Only issue is now that Illinois is practically unliveable with the tax increases (gas is also 30 cents more now a gallon as of a month ago) people are fleeing to Indiana. May end up going west eventually. Montana seems nice
