Hello, I’ve a question about OEM tonneau cover for Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab 6ft Long Bed.

With the Hard Tri-fold tonneau cover, can I put a 8ft - 9ft Surfboard with Tailgate pad?

As fat as I know, I can lock(secure) tonneau cover after opening up by folding two times. Is there enough space(angle) to put surfboard diagonally? (2/3 of Tonneau opened)

Or should I remove the whole Tonneau cover?

    Thank you.

although I don't have the 3 folding tonneau cover, I suspect youd probably have to fold 2 back and not 1. I have a roll and lock topper and usually lock mine about halfway when I throw a longboard in the back. Welcome to TW!

    Thank you for the advice.

Yes, I think about folding 2 times, because the OEM tonneau seems to be locked only after fold two times. Since you can put a longboard after open up the half, I guess I should be able to do it.

Does your tailgate pad include straps?

    Yes. It’s FCS tailgate pad.
I used to just put towels under the board but this FCS thing works better. (in other trucks)

Sounds like I shouldn’t have any trouble putting a longboard with oem tonneau cover opening up. (Folded 2 times & locked)

Wow. That’s so rad. What a legend.
(I’m also 37 btw) I’m not a active member of San O surf club, but keep a membership as small contribution to San O community.
