So, I'm approved for a new frame on my '08 Taco, 235k km.
I know Toyota used to buyback the Tacos, but any chance they they'd consider it? Anyone try, with any luck?
    I'm in Canada, btw.
I'd even be happy to keep the truck, (no more claims), with a Toyota credit on a new or used vehicle.

    Nope.

Closest you’ll get is the dealer taking it on trade for a new truck.

    Step 1: get frame replaced

Step 2: sell truck, now with brand new frame, for $$$$

Step 3: use $$$$ to fund purchase of something else

I mean... I'd had my 1st gen a couple years when they first announced the frame warranty, and were originally doing buybacks, at 150% of KBB excellent condition retail value. I'd paid $12k for mine, and the buyback would've been somewhere around $20k at the time... I jokingly mentioned saltblasting my frame. That deal was ridiculously sweet, at least for someone in my position.

But anything less, and even if you could talk them into it now I'd have to imagine there'd be no reason to give you more than fair market value, why not just let them give you the stated remedy free, and let it increase what you can get for the truck? And the answer is almost certainly not (unless you got a dealer to do a shady deal like "buying back" the truck from you, submitting it for a frame job as if you still own it, and then selling it themselves when they're done) as it wasn't Toyota really funding much/any of this, AFAIK it was a settlement with Dana/Spicer/Eaton who made the frame.
