    Have you seen the flexible solar panels? 2 or 3 would keep you going for a while.
    They require no drilling and you can walk on them

    most campers come wired for solar from the factory. there may or may not be panels on the roof but its an easy add on to do. since outside storage is basically zilch on smaller campers i can't carry a generator but i can fit two batteries and a full roof of solar panels to keep me running - really only need the fridge, water pump and occasionally a light.
    plus the chevys come with two batteries and a heavier alternator when you get the camper/trailering package and most dealers around here make that a standard feature for all trucks they order

    So, I'm sure you know about this but I'll throw it out there anyway. Solar panel placement isn't rocket science but we see it all the time. People will get panels added to a roof and then complain that they aren't getting a full charge. We'll take a look and it's almost always panel placement. The installer will mount the panels close to an ac unit, vent lid, or other object that blocks the sun from hitting the panels. Once they're remounted in the largest open expanse of the roof, no problems.

    Wife went to church and I trimmed some trees.

    Reading about your grape vine reminded me of my wife's family. When we were at a reunion a few weeks ago at the family homestead I heard the story of the" tree". It's an old burr oak that's estimated to be 400 years old. I was told the story behind it and how special the tree is to the family. We all took a walk out to it to admire it. Said a prayer remembering great grand parents.
    Thanks for sharing the vine story. Have a good time at your reunion.
