Chargeback = the guy that's always broke but buys nice things with full intentions of not paying for it. In other words, legal theft.

Regardless of agreement, charge back works by lying to the credit card company they received a defective product and seller refuse to make it right; so the cc will pull the fund back and refund you.

If the stock tranny logic doesn’t bother you, then you’ll see no interest in this product. If you have an interest, ovtune website will provide and prove why his product works. Honestly, stock didn’t really bother me but bought the tune anyway. My conclusion, 1.05 was meh, but with 2.0 I really felt a big difference.

Jesus, why the fuck do so many people have to be scumbags especially to a very small business?

Yeah no thanks. I’m not a crook. I may be cheap but no crook.

Someone above mentioned drive a truck with it, good luck with that around here. Most vehicle owners don’t want to let some random internet person drive their vehicle. Besides that, not everyone with OVTune has their vehicle setup any way but to their liking. May not be the same way everyone wants there’s. Some want power, some want performance. Personally I think our trucks perform just fine for power just need better shifting and how pedal reacts to pressing it.

Only way I’d buy a product that has zero returns is if there was a written guarantee. $700 isn’t the same as $10. Affordability or not common sense says 700 is much more than 10 and I can legitimize a waste of $10 but not wasting $700. If the developers, company size doesn’t matter, wanted to venture off and gain more sales there would have to be some form of trial. Either by having locations a person can drive to and ‘test drive’ a vehicle with the product or having a clause that if you don’t like it then return to vendor option. If developer is satisfied with sales and profit and progression of his/her business then no need to do anything to interest people like me. And people like me need to accept that and move on without bad mouthing them because we aren’t satisfied with their terms before purchase.

I don't have the OVTune but am considering it once the bugs are worked out. I think OVTune guys are smart as hell and are going to provide a great and highly sought after product. Sorry to see the OVTune boys get sucked into the tit-tat exchanges initiated by a few unhappy folks. Maybe it would be better if they interfaced/updated primarily through their site and official e-mail correspondence.

Yeah... like you want it to feel more like a normal driving experience, right?

And that's exactly what OVTune does for you.
Is it a lot of money? Yes
Is it worth it? Sure is

Written guarantee of what? That you'll be happy, beaming from ear to ear? Satisfaction with the results of a tune are generally subjective, so it's hard to provide a guarantee.

That being said, if hundreds of positive reviews don't convince you to pull the trigger, then you were never going to be receptive and open minded enough to spend the money to begin with, so why bother with the indecisiveness?

Oh, by the way, stock tranny logic is pathetic and I honestly can’t stand it. However still as stated why before not interested in purchase without some form of trial by drive or use of some form. I’d even travel a longer distance to try just not spend 700 for something with zero guarantee that it will do absolutely anything.

I know it’s far fetched but to better describe think of audio specialists. Some folks like that will not put a disk full of low bitrate of mp3 songs into their stereo at a wedding. Says it’s too poor quality. Then there’s some folks who are 100% satisfied with the lower quality mp3 and notice zero difference in sound. I don’t want to be the guy that paid $700 for a high quality product and be the one who can’t notice any difference. Hope this makes sense.

Different strokes for different folks. One is worried about quality of the music, while the other is enjoying what the music brings.

$700 is a bargain for what you get with OVT. I wish I had bought it the same day I bought my truck.

I am one of the most open minded people you could meet if ever we were to do so. Read my previous post about audio comparison from one persons ear to the other persons. We’re all different and I’m not trying to be swayed to purchase or not. I actually think the developer is miles upon miles ahead of me and his intelligence as well as his ability to provide a product that is highly desired for our truck group.

As for positive reviews, I don’t read them. The negative reviews are the ones I read. Not the angry customer who didn’t get his product in time for date night but the customer who gives 2/3 stars out of 5 and explains why and where improvements can be made. Those, to me, are the ones that mean the most since 90% of people are happy or satisfied. I like the guys that are mixed in the middle :)

Absolutely. Couldn’t have said it better myself. Your comment also describes two different types of satisfaction. Right now, I’m not ready to be the guy to find out which category I fall under after I spend a non refundable $700 for a product that can be meh or awesome. I’m also the guy who thinks blind purchases are insanity.

LoL. This would probably be all the AT guys that bought a 3rd Gen Tacoma. Which is why the tune exists to help with the insanity.

Are we really on the its 700 dollar kick again. If u cant afford 700 bucks. You shouldn't be driving a 40,000 truck.

Returns on software is hard because you don’t really return the software back to the seller. Once installed, the customer can just say they’re unhappy, get a refund, and just continue using the software.

I wonder, since he’s able to gain full access to the ecu now if he’s able to provide a trial. He essentially has four maps loaded onto one (I think) on the new beta octane learning tune; which adjust based off of knock. Maybe he can make a trial tune, where there’s a 24 hour countdown once installed. After the 24 hours it’ll revert back to stock tune.

He said “bruh, your truck actually shifts normal!”
