Everyone is pissed at Newman but can we take a minite to say Fuck you to Bell? I mean its his and toyotas doing to force him out of a ride...

 

Wont matter... he WILL be in a car in 2020... probably a better one too.

Wouldn't be surprised if it is the 6... (that would be ironic for me being a Martin fan)

 

Newman is too good for Roush to let go.... Shithouse on the other hand.... Matty D to the 17?, 38? 14? Where is an actual spot open besides the trash 38?

 

I mean. That's business. Leavine more or less said earlier this year that unless some support came in, he was probably shutting down at season's end. Gibbs came knocking with tons of Toyota $, a driver, and a business deal. That's business. Bob wants to keep going and be successful. Khane and Matt D certainly elevated that team in 1.5 years.

Possible open seats for '20:

#6, 8, 14, 17, 37, 38, 43, 47

 

Newman has perfected being a pain in the ass to pass .

 

Last time gibbs did that the team shut down eventually anyway...

LFR can definantely improve and in a few years you never know

 

In case you forgot... Gibbs, Hendrick and others started as 1 car teams racing against the big boys like Junior Johnson, Yates, RCR... etc. Its the circle of NASCAR life.

 

The Coach did a hell of a good job .

 

Would like to see Matt in the 14. Harvick would be a hell of a mentor.

On a positive note I got on his list for Darlington today, so free access for the weekend.

That entire family is a class act.

The sad thing is, landing spots for DiBenedetto are scarce.

Some recent rumors have SHR forming an alliance with Go Fas Racing as a means to unload 2018-19 chassis before the Gen 7 car roles out. Part of that alliance could result in Cole Custer getting the 32 which would put Corey LaJoie out of a ride (though likely landing in the 38 David Ragan is vacating). Matt could end up there, but the 38 would likely be a step back from where he’s at now. If Kurt retires the 1 will likely go to Ross Chastain as he’s still believed to be under contract with Ganassi.

I’d hate to see Matt have to step down to run the Xfinity series in the 20, but it might happen and he would at least be an immediate favorite for the championship there.

 

This week’s Door Bumper Clear podcast had some very amusing audio and interesting commentary on her, her season, and her Bristol mishaps. Worth a listen if you have the time.

Put Matt in the 43 , it would be fun to see Petty team up front .

I believe Ambrose was the last to get Petty to victory lane after that unholy Evernham-Gillette-Earnhardt consolidation. Khane put the #9 in VL for Petty, too. Prior to this, John Andretti and Bobby Hamilton each had a win in the #43.

 

I hate to say it, but I dont think the 43 team and car is capable no matter the driver... That team is just a dumpster fire unfortunately.

 

The 43 has had 6 wins since 1984.

Matt would most likely get 6 in his first 2 years.
