Maybe. I kind of burned through all of my motivation to do the big automotive projects for now. Was thinking I'd just try and get my gauges in the 250 and figure out a washer bottle for the Tacoma

Off to ace to buy a 1/8-27 NPT tap for the exhaust gauge probe. The existing one took the threads out with it :bananadead:

I'm hoping that it can be retapped and that this won't be the start of a new nightmare involving chasing down a new exhaust manifold

Nothing more, probably still has a blown HG or a cracked head. Not sure and honestly I don't really car cause it gives me an excuse to baseline the engine and and throw in a Haltech or Megasquirt, 2JZ head studs, and one of these...

Yeah, but everytime I look under the hood I see so much space for turbo activities and quite frankly the stock EFI needs to go either way cause it's way inefficient and quirky.

It definitely has an issue, but it didn't slow me down any. I hauled ass as usual and cranked her up to 4k+ in second and third gear up passes and let her eat. Only got hot once the whole trip and that was my fault for sure. But even then it was just starting to climb in heat, never got over 215 and I cut the heaters on instantly and brought it down.
