Shitboxes are fun until you have to buy a trailer, tow pig and maintain it all and have a place to park it all.

Everyone always has their own opinion but after doing both, id rather have a well built daily crawler and just enjoy it and know my limits and not follow buggies in it lol.

 

I mean what’s diff than putting tons under a yota? Real talk. Jeeps are just easier to swap cause they’re already factory solid axle

 

Plus just because you break a shit box and don't have to worry about driving it home doesn't mean you don't have to fix whatever you break lmao

 

You can drive a yota for 600k miles tho, a D30 would explode on stock tires after 200k of street miles

Yep lol. I mean trailering is nice don’t get me wrong. But my budget and life and wheeling style could all be done with just one well built rig and a little less liquid confidence and more sitting around a campfire lol.

 

My truck is currently topless, too lol. That chunk had always turned out to be loose lower control arm bolts for me. Try torquing them to 130 ft.lbs and see if it goes away

 

Rubicon comes with bigger axles, but I think the Sports have Dana 30s

 

True but idk. I try to be realistic like you are. I mean look how many miles are on your rig. If I still have stock suspension at 200k then ima just shoot myself cause I fail at life lmao

Tried that, shit was tight.... my lower ball joint boot is pretty much toast, it’s getting louder and more frequent. It started off as a faint creaking, now it’s a full on clunk with any change of momentum.

 

Exactly. Dude drives a 2wd and now he needs a beater. Downhill slope BEGIN hahaha

 

Take a pry bar to the control arm and spindle to see if your ball joint is toast.

 

Hell yeah. I wouldn't turn one away at all.

Well yeah but a $180 set of 4600s is a lot cheaper than everything needed to swap a couple axles

I am determined to talk you off the cliff and get ya into a beater you can get any of the first three gens 4Runner for a lot cheaper than a first gen Taco and they'd still have comfy stuff like AC.
