Quick question for those with wet okoles. Couldn't find the answer in a few other threads I looked at.

In the rear of the double cab, do the covers go over the plastic on the back of the seats, or do you remove the plastic backer, put the covers on, and then put the plastic back on?

The reason I ask if that I always fold down the seats when my dog is back there (I've got some all weather carpeting back there so she doesn't slide around), so I'm hoping the seat covers go underneath the plastic backer.

    Thanks.

    They go over the plastic.

Damn...I bet if I removed the plastic and put it back on after installing the covers that they wouldn't fit as snug, right?

More worried about my dog ripping it than getting it dirty.

Also she tends to fall into floor space between the rear and front seat...so I need to have the seat backs down.

Dont know. It might work. The back of the WE's is thinner than the fronts.

I dont think your dog will rip it. My Dogs havent been able to hurt mine, and one is a digger. Also, The passenger side was poked with a knife, and no scare, or tearing was had. You can always try it first, then if it looks like they may be damaged, you can put somthing over them....

Good that what's I really need, is first hand experience from a dog owner. Are your dogs large breeds?

My lab gets a little excited when she goes for rides in "her" truck. :D

Gabby is 48#, and Gunner is 21#. Gunner actually gives the best test, as He's the digger, and has longer toe nails. Gunner runs around the cab like a nut when we're not moving, and really tests out the seat covers. :)
